Summary

  • GENERAL SUMMARY
    • The Practice Clinical Quality Supervisor is responsible for managing, implementing, and evaluating quality projects (Payer Programs, Primary Care Medical Home, NCQA accreditation) and identifying opportunities for improvement at the practice.  Ability to operationalize, solve problems, make decisions and develop systems and processes for successful integration and implementation for the delivery of quality care and services at the practice. Reports to department leadership.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Plans, develops, and organizes activities to support orientation, education and training to meet department, organizational, and regulatory quality goals.
    • Collaborates and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams within Physician Practice Management to assist and support quality clinical training to meet program quality initiatives.
    • Demonstrates excellence in practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient and staff education. 
    • Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care. 
    • Solves problems, makes decisions, develops systems and processes for successful integration and implementation, utilizing organizational and analytical skills. 
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
    • Current State license as a Registered Nurse with 2 years of clinical experience or Licensed Practical Nurse with 3 - 5 years clinical experience required. 
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    • Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice. 
    • Supervisory, pediatric practice setting and program coordination experience preferred.
    • Demonstrates leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and strong critical thinking skills necessary. 
    • Professional knowledge of areas of responsibility in order to develop plan, implement, and evaluate practice program activities.
    • CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
    • Possess excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to establish and maintain a professional work environment.
    • Working knowledge of computer software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
    • Ability to travel.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Additional Information

This position has flexibility of working from satellite office in either Chesapeake or Norfolk.
