GENERAL SUMMARY
-
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for inspecting, receiving, and organizing medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals to ensure timely and accurate distribution to departments. Reports to departmental leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Unloads, inspects, scans, and receives incoming shipments of medical supplies, equipment, and time-sensitive materials.

Verifies shipments against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and completeness.

Inspects items for damage, expiration dates, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Properly labels and stores items in accordance with health system policies.
-
Maintains accurate inventory records using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Coordinates with purchasing, clinical, and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries to departments.
-
Accurately packages and ships outbound supplies, equipment, or other materials and keep accurate records of all outgoing shipments.

Follows all regulatory guidelines including HIPPA, OSHA, and DNV standards.

Maintains a workflow that sets expectations of receiving all shipments daily.

Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

Required Licenses and/or Certifications

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Licenses and/or Certifications

Forklift certification preferred.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
-
Required Education and Experience
-
High school graduate or equivalent required.
-
Minimum of one year experience in a warehouse or receiving role, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

Familiarity with medical terminology and supply chain practices in healthcare preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
Proficiency with ERP systems and handheld scanner, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
-
Must demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and collaborate with every level in the organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS
-
Warehouse environment with exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy conditions. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
