Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY
- Under the general direction of an IS Manager, the IS Applications Development Specialist provides support of CHS-developed computer applications to departments throughout CHS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides support of CHS-developed computer applications by designing, coding, maintaining and enhancing CHS-developed applications to meet the needs of the departments.
- Supports customers by resolving problems and recommending application improvements.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments.
- Promotes and adheres to departmental and organizational information systems security policies, standards and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- None
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant combination of education and experience necessary.
- Work experience required based on level of job entry. Less than 2 years work experience in this field – entry level. 2-4 years work experience in this field – junior level. Greater than 4 years work experience in this field – senior level.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like with the exception of visits to the computer room.
